Are the ingredients in Horsemates harmful?

Horsemates Glide is formulated with all-natural and safe ingredients, preventing any concern for toxicity. It includes a waterproof barrier to deter biting insects, natural healing properties acting as antifungal and antibacterial agents, and ensures the product works diligently to repel sweat and rain.

How do I apply Horsemates Glide?

Horsemates Glide is easy to use. We recommend using disposable gloves due to the natural hydrophobic properties of the product, but it is perfectly safe to use on your skin. (We also use it on our skin as a natural deterrent against bugs.)

A small amount goes a long way. Open the container, scoop out some of the glide, and apply it to the areas that need healing or are affected by bugs. After applying the glide, rub it into the area to help it adhere. That's it! We suggest targeting the belly, legs, mane, and tail, but the product is effective on all areas including the face and head.

For mane and tail itching, use a mane and tail comb to get the Glide onto the skin and closer to the hair follicle for absorption. The natural ingredients benefit the horse's skin and assist in repair and healing. Since our product also acts as a repellent, we recommend using Horsemates Glide every few days during the Spring and Summer when bugs are at peak populations. Horsemates Glide will heal, repair, and promote hair growth when used as directed. During the healing process, it will assist in maintaining pliable skin, which reduces itching and swelling.​​​​​
